După ce am scris întrebarea în acest fel, mi-au venit în minte tot felul de exemple despre cum oamenii nu trăiesc frumos: războaie, boli, sărăcie, cruzime, furt, minciună, corupție și multe altele.
Alții ar răspunde: depinde la ce canal TV și la ce postări te uiți. Depinde de felul în care îți câștigi existența etc. Depinde de câți bani ai. Depinde dacă ai fost la școală sau nu. Etc.
Sigur, stima noastră de sine ar crește dacă am purta o geantă Aspinal of London sau Faubourg Tropical Birkin, am conduce o Bugatti Chiron, ne-am sărbători ziua de naștere pe Necker Island, dacă am avea loja noastră la Wimbledon, la Metropolitan Opera, dacă am face turism în spațiu etc. […]
